Svipp was the first dog that was only mine. He introduced me to the world of dog sports - and of course to the Australian shepherd. He comes from Skogstrollet kennel at Biri, and he moved in with me at the 24th of March in 2006.

Svipp is an extremely kind and easy dog to live with. He hasn’t done anything wrong in his whole life, and he likes everybody – both people and other animals. Even though he is the perfect family pet, he has not fully lived up to my expectations of a competition dog. His will to work and cooperate is not good enough, and in combination with an inexperienced handler, it did not work out quite as well as planned. We have done a lot of obedience and searching, and the latter was his favourite. Svipp has taught me a lot about dog training, and I wouldn’t have been without it.

Svipp has too much white and an incorrect bite, so he has never been shown at a dog show.

Today I do not train Svipp anymore, but he lives a good life with long walks and a part time job at a retirement home for old people.

In April of 2009 Svipp moved to live with my father.
